In the areas managed by Friedrich Haase, there were also challenging-to-maintain floodplain meadows of the Lubāna Wetland Complex. With project support, these meadows now host cattle, which not only help restore the overgrown meadows and enhance their biodiversity but also have created a new business direction for the farmer. Over two years, the herd has significantly grown, vegetation in the meadows has improved, and new bird species have appeared.
